Project Overview
Who should apply: Native Japanese speakers only with strong reading/writing skills across Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana. Detail-oriented, comfortable following written conventions, and experienced working within consensus/QC workflows. Prior ASR/transcription or linguistic annotation experience preferred. What you’ll do: You’ll listen to short Japanese audio clips and transcribe the speech exactly as spoken in mixed script. You’ll follow a structured style guide for formatting, spelling, numbers, and multi-speaker handling; apply the project’s annotation conventions where relevant; choose the correct save state with brief reasoning when applicable; capture required speaker metadata; add concise comments when needed; and submit high-quality work for review.
