As a math expert for Outlier, I was entrusted with optimizing training data set production pipelines by supervising end-to-end quality controls as well as actively participating in the development process. As a collaborator in several projects, I redacted challenging mathematical prompts in Japanese that would induce failure in the AI model. Then, I would rate the AI Response across several rubrics, including both mathematical correctness as well as natural Japanese language, and ultimately rewrite the response if deemed low quality. Additionally, as a senior supervisor, I checked other collaborators work to enhance quality, ensuring perfect quality while providing constructive feedback to the original collaborator. These experiences required not only advanced mathematics knowledge and comfortable use of Japanese, but also deep understanding of the project and active communication within the team.
