I stated the problem statement in the manner of a professor training an advanced student for independent research---Socrates learning style. It would write code. I would verify that the code worked. If it did not, I added hints to the problem statement. Iterated the process to success.
Looking up problems in number theory and elsewhere to create coding puzzles. Review how the AI system creates code to solve those coding puzzles.Verify the working of the code, or give it hints if it does not.
