Transcriptionist
I worked as a transcriptionist where I turned audio recordings into written documents. My job was to listen closely and type out exactly what was said, making sure everything followed the client’s guidelines. I paid attention to punctuation, capitalization, speaker labels, and formatting so the final transcript was clean and easy to read. Sometimes the audio wasn’t perfect, there could be background noise or strong accents, so I would replay certain parts to be sure I got the words right. If a speaker switched from English to another language, I would bracket that part and label it as stated in the guideline I also checked through my work before submitting to fix small errors and make sure everything flowed naturally. Accuracy was important, but so was submitting on time.
