Freelancer Overview

I am Bruno dos Santos Solheid, a Ph.D. in Numerical Methods from UFPR, with over 10 years of experience in teaching and research in applied mathematics and programming. Currently, I am a Visiting Professor in the Mathematics Department at UFRN, where I work on projects combining advanced mathematics, numerical methods, and applications in engineering and environmental sciences. My academic background includes a master's and Ph.D. focused on the numerical solution of complex problems, such as fractional differential equations and pollutant dispersion. I also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Numerical Methods at UFPR, exploring techniques like the boundary element method. I have published relevant articles in international journals and have experience in academic supervision. Within the Graduate Program in Applied Mathematics and Statistics (PPGMAE-UFRN), I co-supervised a master's thesis defended in 2023 and am currently co-supervising another one scheduled for defense in 2025. In addition, I have strong expertise in numerical methods and programming languages such as Python, Fortran, and Matlab, with practical experience in LaTeX and applied statistics. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
