I've been working as an AI data contributor and labeller through OneForma and Outlier, where my daily tasks involve evaluating model outputs for accuracy, annotating datasets across text, images and other formats, and maintaining consistency across tasks by following project guidelines. What I've found is that this work rewards exactly the kind of person that I am, someone who is precise to the core, patient, and genuinely cares whether the output is right or just close enough. What sets me apart is my engineering background. Studying Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the University of Nigeria has trained me to think in systems, that is to spot patterns, question inconsistencies, and document my findings clearly. That same mindset is what I carried directly into my data labeling work. I don't just label and move on, I think about why a particular annotation decision is correct and I make sure to look out for specific cases that could change a model's learning. I'm remote experienced, timely, and also very comfortable working independently, which in my experience is like half the battle in this kind of work.
