AI Engineer & Computer Vision Developer (Graduation project: Shark Detection)
Led the data labeling and AI model training pipeline for an AI-powered real-time shark detection system. Collected and annotated a custom underwater shark video dataset, focusing on identifying sharks in varied underwater environments. Preprocessed, augmented, and labeled video data for training a YOLOv8 object detection model to ensure high recall and accuracy. • Labeled shark regions in underwater video using bounding boxes to train computer vision models. • Managed video data preprocessing, augmentation, and organization for annotation effectiveness. • Ensured class distributions in labeled data to support generalization and reduce bias. • Validated labeled data by running iterative model training and refining label accuracy.
