Freelancer Overview

My current postdoc project requires independence, as well as long-distance collaborations with the team of Prof Siavash Mirarab at UC San Diego. I am benchmarking k-mer methods on low-coverage whole genome sequencing (lcWGS) datasets. These methods are assembly- and alignment-free and can be applied in the absence of a reference genome, which could be a huge gain of time and resources for getting precises population genetics statistics.
