Medical Text Translation & Annotation (English ↔ Spanish)
This project involved translating and annotating health-related text data from English to Spanish to support the development of multilingual AI systems in the healthcare industry. My role included accurately translating medical and health-related terminology, classifying text segments by context, and ensuring consistency across datasets. I worked with AWS SageMaker to perform the labeling tasks, maintaining strict attention to quality, accuracy, and context-sensitive translation to preserve meaning. The project scope included several thousand text entries, with multiple review cycles to achieve high annotation quality. Quality assurance measures such as peer review, consistency checks, and validation tests were implemented to ensure reliability of the dataset for AI training.
