Data Annotation Volunteer (Amnesty Decoder)
As an Amnesty Decoder for Amnesty International, I analyzed large-scale social and surveillance datasets related to online abuse and civic movements. I contributed to research-backed reports by identifying patterns and classifying incidents within textual data. My efforts supported projects such as Troll Patrol India and Decode Surveillance NYC, focusing on content accuracy and data-driven insights. • Reviewed and categorized large volumes of text data from varied sources • Flagged instances of abusive or problematic content • Contributed to the labeling for AI-driven reports on civic monitoring • Ensured consistency and reliability in annotation tasks
