I have been doing data analysis/labeling/moderation and taxonomy development work on occupation data for use in ML training/testing across Indeed, Inc. in the United States. I therefore have relevant work experience and skills for language annotation/labeling functions for ML training purposes and the identification of data needs for data based model and product improvements. I am familiar with the nature of the job that requires analytical skills in linguistic data, attention to details while performing repetitive tasks on a daily basis. I am also familiar with project management and collaboration with colleagues to resolve ambiguous data issues. I have experience using SQL/IQL, Boolean and Google Workspace for project management, research and data queries. In addition, my highest qualification is a master’s degree in language teaching from the University of Melbourne. I have taught Chinese in Singapore primary school. My past experience as a Research Assistant for an English language research project at the university in Singapore is especially relevant to the position. I am proficient in English, Mandarin and fluent in Chinese dialects - Cantonese, Taiwanese and Teochew.
