Machine Learning Engineer (AI Training and Data Labeling)
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Kaeberlein Lab, I developed scripts to mine and generate annotated image datasets for training AI models. I created a screening tool utilizing Yolov3 and Google Colab to detect lifespan extension in yeast cells based on transfer learning and pre-generated compatible weight files. Additional software tools for tracing tracks in agar images were built in Matlab to assist in image analysis and labeling tasks. • Wrote custom Matlab and Python scripts for mining, curating, and labeling archival image data. • Labeled experimental images for object detection analysis using Yolov3. • Generated and preprocessed datasets to train image detection models. • Built tools for faint track tracing in C. elegans experiment images.
