Records Management Crisis Resolution This project focused on analyzing and resolving a records management breakdown at a mid-sized insurance company handling 45,000 active policy files. The objective was to identify root causes behind increased filing errors, missing documents, and delayed retrieval times following the retirement of a key records manager. The project involved evaluating operational data, stakeholder concerns, and current processes. A strategic solution was developed that included standardizing filing procedures, improving staff training, and expanding the adoption of a digital document management system. A structured 60-day action plan was proposed to restore operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
