In my role as a data annotator for foreign language invoices, I focused on turning complex and multi-language documents into high-quality training data by drawing "pixel-perfect" bounding boxes around key information like invoice numbers, invoice dates, tax amounts, line items, etc. to help OCR where to find the data for certain fields. I didn't just label the data; I also handled the transcription, making sure every character and symbol was captured with total accuracy in the Kili interface. Beyond the technical side, I had to use a lot of judgment to navigate messy or unstructured layouts—like correctly telling the difference between billing and shipping addresses—and I stayed proactive by flagging any blurry or ambiguous scans to ensure the final dataset was as clean as possible. What really set me apart was the combination of extreme technical accuracy and sharp analytical thinking. I wasn't just drawing boxes; I make sure that machine learning models get the best data possible by giving them "pixel-perfect" accuracy. It's hard to find someone who can stay focused enough to keep a 100% transcription rate, even with the hassle of special characters and messy currency symbols. More importantly, I have a natural sense of layout logic. I can read documents that aren't structured and know right away what the difference is between a "Bill To" and a "Ship To" address, even when a computer might get confused. I act as a last line of defense for data integrity by proactively flagging blurry scans and ambiguous fields. This makes you an important partner in the AI training process, not just an annotator.
