I recently completed the Data Labeling virtual job simulation on the Forage platform, which gave me a first-hand look into what it’s like to work on an AI training and data quality team.
During the program, I practiced labeling short customer support messages for intent, sentiment, and PII, and later stepped into a reviewer role where I applied Keep/Fix/Flag decisions to improve consistency and guideline clarity.
Through this experience, I discovered how much I enjoy the balance of analytical precision and ethical responsibility involved in preparing high-quality data for machine learning — and I’m eager to apply these skills in a data operations or AI support role.
