During my time on the Aether project at Outlier, I have specialized in high-level RLHF to refine and optimize large language models. My work primarily focused on evaluating complex model responses for factual accuracy, reasoning depth and adherence to specific safety and stylistic guidelines. I was responsible for ranking model outputs and providing detailed, technical justifications for my ratings, which required a sharp eye for nuance and a deep understanding of how specific prompts influence AI behavior. Beyond basic labeling, I contributed to adversarial prompting and edge-case testing, identifying areas where the model might hallucinate or provide sub-optimal reasoning. This role required me to maintain a high quality standard. I helped bridge the gap between raw data and sophisticated, human-aligned AI responses, making me well-versed in the iterative nature of model training and fine-tuning.
