Freelancer Overview

While my primary background is in biostatistics and data science, my work has involved substantial data labeling and AI training-adjacent experience. As a freelance statistical consultant with over 100 completed projects, I regularly performed data coding and classification tasks including labeling qualitative survey responses, annotating categorical variables, and structuring raw datasets for downstream machine learning pipelines. I also evaluated and validated model outputs for accuracy, consistency, and statistical soundness, which closely mirrors the quality assurance dimension of AI training data work. In my research roles, I have worked with sensitive, complex datasets in genomics and public health that required careful manual curation, domain-informed annotation decisions, and strict adherence to reproducibility standards. My experience developing machine learning models, including for COVID-19 forecasting and financial fraud detection gives me a strong understanding of what high-quality labeled data needs to look like from the model's perspective, allowing me to label and review data with both precision and contextual awareness.
