As a mentee, I was trained in collecting and handling research data, including tasks involving audio transcription. I transcribed clients’ audios from Focus Group Discussions and In-depth Discussion interviews. This role required attention to detail and accurate conversion of speech to written text.
• Worked with mobile data collection apps such as CommCare, ODK, and KoBoCollect.
• Ensured accuracy and confidentiality during the transcription of sensitive interviews.
• Collaborated with a research-focused team for quality control of transcripts.
• Developed reporting skills based on quantitative data analysis results.
