AI has the potential to meaningfully accelerate scientific discovery, but it still struggles with the kind of deep, multi-step reasoning that STEM experts do every day. We're building a dataset to change that. Think of it this way: we want to equip AI models to serve as a powerful tool for researchers, helping tackle the complex, authentic problems that arise in real scientific work. To get there, models need to learn from the best, and that's where you come in. In this project, you will be teaching AI by constructing challenging, expert-level problems, demonstrating rigorous solution processes, and providing structured feedback on how well AI responds to those problems. Just like with any student, the more clearly you demonstrate your thought process, the better AI can learn from it. Throughout this project, rigorous attention to detail, clarity, and information quality will be a top priority.
