At the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, I played a crucial role in a large-scale project aimed at developing deep learning models for image segmentation. The project involved labeling thousands of microscopy images to create precise masks, which were essential for training accurate and efficient AI systems. In this project, I meticulously labeled images by creating detailed masks to highlight various biological structures. The scope of the project included not only the initial data annotation but also continuous quality checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the labeled data. I adhered to strict quality measures, including multiple rounds of review and validation, to maintain high standards and ensure the reliability of the training data.
