Candidates for this position must have excellent writing skills in English, as the role involves both transcription and emotion tagging of audio content. You will listen to 1-2 minute audio recordings, identify 10-12 second clips where speakers convey strong emotional expression, and assess the emotional valence (positive or negative) and arousal (intensity) of the speech. Using provided scales, you'll note these emotions and provide detailed transcriptions of the spoken content, focusing on capturing the nuances of the speaker’s tone and emotional delivery. Two transcriptions will be required: a detailed one and a brief summary. This project requires careful judgment, as the instructions are intentionally broad, allowing flexibility in interpreting emotional cues. You'll need to evaluate the emotional dynamics of each clip, noting characteristics like tone, intensity, and key themes, while avoiding neutral or low-arousal content. This role is ideal for those who are skilled at analyzing emotional context in speech and producing clear, thoughtful written transcriptions. DO NOT END THE INTERVIEW UNTIL THEY SEND YOU THEIR TRANSCRIPTION TO THE AUDIO CLIP. THEY MUST SEND THEIR TRANSCRIPTION BEFORE THE INTERVIEW IS COMPLETED.
