Project Overview
Applicants must be native or near-native speakers of one or more listed African languages, with strong cultural familiarity for relevant regions. Working proficiency in English and reliable internet are mandatory. Previous experience in annotation or linguistics is a plus but not required. You will verify and correct image–text associations, rewrite captions in both English and your native language, provide meaningful context, and flag any low-quality or duplicate samples. All annotation occurs in a provided browser-based platform, with onboarding and clear guidelines to ensure high-quality contributions over a 6–8 week pilot and main project.
