About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Policy Consultant who helps train next-generation AI systems through high-quality document review, drafting, and policy analysis. This contractor role focuses on policy documents, legal contracts, proposals, and research papers, along with careful review for compliance, clarity, and industry best practices.
Required skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in government policy operations
- Advanced proficiency with Word and PDF tools, including tracked changes, formatting, document review, and data extraction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience drafting, analyzing, and reviewing complex policy or regulatory documents
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
What you will do
- Analyze, draft, and review policy documents, legal contracts, proposals, and research papers
- Provide strategic consultation and actionable recommendations on regulatory, legal, healthcare, academic, or finance-related matters
- Conduct thorough document reviews focused on compliance, clarity, and best practices
- Support document formatting, tracked changes, form filling, and data extraction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synthesize complex data into policies and procedures
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly in written and verbal form
