Applicants should have at least three years of hands-on professional, academic, or gigging experience in music or audio, such as musicianship, production, mixing, music education, sound recording, sound design, foley, or audio editing. Strong analytical listening, music theory knowledge, accurate tempo and key identification, careful web-based annotation, clear written English, and meticulous quality control are required. Professional headphones, a quiet workspace, and reliable high-speed internet are also necessary. Contributors will listen to short real-world field recordings and create structured annotations for instruments, tempo, key, background events, timestamps, and scene context. They will compare recordings made in different locations, judge acoustic similarities and differences, and review AI-generated descriptions for correct, incorrect, or invented details with concise explanations. Paid onboarding, calibration, and short weekly syncs are included.
