OpenTrain is recruiting for an AI Question and Answer Evaluation Specialist to create research-backed content that helps train and evaluate advanced AI systems. You will develop challenging questions across diverse subjects, produce accurate and well-documented answers, and assess how models handle multi-step reasoning and synthesis. This remote contractor opportunity is designed for independent contributors who can turn careful research and precise writing into high-quality evaluation material.
Develop original question-and-answer pairs that test model knowledge, reasoning, and depth of understanding. Research answers across multiple sources, triangulate evidence, and document clear citations and logical explanations. Create questions that require synthesis and analytical reasoning rather than single-source retrieval. Test questions against AI models, analyze the results, and adjust difficulty when needed. Refine submitted content using reviewer feedback and maintain alignment with project guidelines and quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough independent research and critically assess information from multiple sources. Fluent written English with strong precision, structure, and attention to detail. Ability to write nuanced questions that probe deep understanding and distinguish superficial answers from well-reasoned responses. Self-direction, reliability, and accountability in remote, independent project work.
Prior experience in AI training, model evaluation, or content creation is helpful but not required. Candidates, advanced-degree holders, and professionals from any academic or professional background may be considered when they can demonstrate strong research and writing expertise.
This is a remote contractor opportunity with a prompt start expectation after onboarding. Compensation is output-based and tied to tasks that meet project specifications.
